In the arms of Love

“In the absence of love we began slowly but surely to fall apart.”

  …. But in its arms never do we fall apart.

Love is giving with no thought of getting. It is tenderness enfolding with strength to protect. It is forgiveness without further thought of the thing forgiven. It is understanding of human weakness, with knowledge of the true man shining through. It is quiet in the midst of turmoil. It is trust in God with no thought of self. It is the one altogether lovely, the light in the mother’s eyes, the glory in the sacrifice, the quiet assurance of protection.

Love is in the expectation of our Father’s promise coming true. It is the refusal to see anything but good in our fellow man. It is the glory that comes with selflessness and the power that comes with assurance of the Father’s love for His Children.

Love is the voice that says “no” to our brother, though “yes” might be more easily said. It is resistance to the world’s lust and greed, thus becoming a positive law of annihilation to error.
Love … the “man” called Jesus…..the one thing no one can take from us … the one thing we can give constantly and become increasingly rich in the giving.

Love can take no offence, for it cannot know that which it does not of itself conceive. It cannot hurt or be hurt, for it is the purest reflection of GOD, Good. It is the one eternal, indestructible force for Good. It is the will of GOD, preparing, planning, proposing always…… what is best for you……what is best for me…..what is best for all His universe.

AAT~ to thee the Glory be.

YOUR CHANCES

Twixt doubt and dismay you are smitten

You think there’s no chance for you?

Why?

Did you not know…….

The best books haven’t been written

The best race hasn’t been run,

The best score hasn’t been made yet,

The best song hasn’t been sung,

The best tune hasn’t been played yet,
Cheer up, for the world is young!
No chance? Why the world is just eager

For things that you ought to create

Its store of true wealth is still meagre

Its needs are incessant and great,

It yearns for more power and beauty

More laughter and love and romance,

More loyalty, labor and duty,

No chance – why there’s nothing but chance!
For the best verse hasn’t been rhymed yet,

The best house hasn’t been planned,

The highest peak hasn’t been climbed yet,

The mightiest rivers aren’t spanned,

Don’t worry and fret, faint hearted,

The chances have just begun,

For the Best jobs haven’t been started,

The Best work hasn’t been done.

So

Keep moving

The world is counting on you.

The chances have just started.

The Bread of Life

Jesus answered them and said,

 “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.”
“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
Jesus answered and said to them;
“This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

And Jesus said to them,
“I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:26‭-‬29‭, ‬35 NKJV
Let our actions show that we believe in Jesus Christ, for who he is and not just the “goodies” he will give us, He has given us His life and Spirit which is much more than any success the world could offer because it lasts forever.😊😊
Believe, entrust your life to  him and let Him lead you like the Good Shepherd He is.

As Examinations Approach…

A few words of encouragement

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.          Lamentations 3:22-23

All too soon the semester comes to an end and we are all having some mixed feelings;

To some we never really got into the semester, the days just seem to fly by and it’s just been by God’s grace we are here today,

To others we started so brightly filled with so much energy only to grow weary, tired and a bit worn out as the days went by and the obstacles looked insurmountable,

And to others we’ve been able to achieve all our goals.
No matter the category you find yourself in, allow me to say ‘KUDOS’, you’ve done well and we thank God for all he’s done.

 You may feel oh that’s not for me, but just a reminder; Even though you are not where you want to be, you are not where you used to be.

Trust me there are things we have learnt throughout this semester that will go on to shape us into who we will become one day. Be of good cheer!

 Even though our decisions may have led us to where we are now, there’s good news; we are not too low or too high for God’s grace and mercy, in fact his grace and mercies are new every morning, fresh every day, great is his faithfulness.

 Hey dear, step back, take a break and call on Jesus, He says we should come to Him and He will give you rest and teach you his ways. (Matthew 11:29)

The Grace of God is able to reach us no matter the situation we find ourselves in.

He takes us through the “storm” and when we look back all we do is sigh and say, “Ha! Has it not been the Lord on our side where will we have been?”
As Examinations approach…

 Remember, ‘A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps’ (Proverbs 16:9).

Let the lord direct your step, Don’t think too much on what you can or cannot do but rather let’s focus and trust in God and in what He can do.

Our strength may fail us but God’s strength never fails.

Be encouraged dear ones, the Lord our God who brought us here, He who began with us even before the foundations of the earth, and still reigns and lives amongst us is faithful and just to bring us to a glorious end.
 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20)

All the best in your exams!

Much love

The Prince Of Peace

The sure cure for any doubt about Christ, is to be out on a boisterous sea where no human power can help, and then see Him come forth to quiet the boisterous winds and save the sinking soul.” – Keith L. Brooks

How can God be;

Our deliverer, if there’s nothing to be delivered from??
Our peace, when there are no storms??
Our hope, when life is without despair??
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.

 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” – Jesus Christ

John 16:33 NKJV

WHO ARE YOU BECOMING?

WHO ARE YOU BECOMING? (IN A SPLIT SECOND)

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

 And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

ROMANS 8:29-30

mostimportant-01Things can go sour really quick sometimes maybe because of our impatience, laziness and other pretty little stuff – things we know of, read on, and seem to understand the way they work but still …

They’re painful and annoying, we keep doing it or such situations seem to befall us day in day out and we can’t seem to get rid of, it becomes like a thorn in our flesh.

It really hurts and all we do is to be honest with God in such situations but they just don’t go like we expect it to be right? Like in a split second or at the blink of the eye.

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away (it: that thorn in the flesh).

Each time he said, “MY GRACE IS ALL YOU NEED. MY POWER WORKS BEST IN WEAKNESS.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

2 CORINTHIANS 12:8-9 [NLT]

Hope you can relate, countless times we have asked God to take that thing away.

This brings me to my message, God is more interested in the long run who we are becoming than the just granting us wishes. Romans 8:30 shows us the process. Think about it; it is step by step and the Holy Spirit is not man that he will fail or disappoint us. Have faith in the God who chose you and has a purpose for you.

14. So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered Heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.

15. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testing we do, yet he did not sin.

16. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Hebrews 4:14-16

O what a loving, gracious God He is. He who knows our anxious thoughts but still loves us the same and gave His life for us May His name be praised forevermore.

God alone is our peace and joy. “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

In a split second we can lose all our achievements (degrees, houses, cars etc) we could lose even our loved ones but we can never lose who God has molded us to be and who He is in our lives, the peace and joy in our hearts, mind and souls in the midst of trials and pain.

Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,

or, whine, Israel, saying,

“God has lost track of me.

He doesn’t care what happens to me”?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?

God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.

    He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.

He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.

    And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,

    gives fresh strength to dropouts.

For even young people tire and drop out,

    young folk in their prime stumble and fall.

But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,

They run and don’t get tired,

    they walk and don’t lag behind.

Isaiah 40:27-31

Thy Mighty Grasp of me.

Between gleams of joy and clouds of doubt

Our feelings come and go;

Our best estate is tossed about
In ceaseless ebb and flow.

No mood of feeling, form of thought

Is constant for a day;

But thou, 0 Lord, thou changest not:

The same thou art alway.
I grasp thy strength, make it mine own,

My heart with peace is blest;

I lose my hold, and then comes down

Darkness, and cold unrest.

Let me no more my comfort draw

From my frail hold of thee,

In this alone I rejoice with awe

Thy mighty grasp of me.
Out of that weak, unquiet drift

That comes but to depart,

To that pure heaven my spirit lift

Where thou unchanging art.

Lay hold of me with thy strong grasp,

Let thy almighty arm

In its embrace my weakness clasp,

And I shall fear no harm.

Thy purpose of eternal good

Let me but surely know;

On this I’ll lean—let changing mood

And feeling come or go—

Glad when thy sunshine fills my soul,

Not lorn when clouds overcast,

Since thou within thy sure control

Of love dost hold me fast.
